The Map of the Enigmas Trilogy
Not your mother's trilogy, these three books share some characters and themes, and span from the late 19th to the mid-22nd centuries:
-
Pouf!! the trilogy's first volume, finds a hair stylist obsessed with the towering pouf hairstyles of Marie Antoinette suddenly finds his life upended after his mother announces she was once a kitten,
-
In 19851985, most everyone is gay ('mo') and the straights ('strays') are the minority. When the year 1985 begins secretly repeating and varying itself, a diverse coterie including Ethel Merman, Truman Capote (secretly straight), and Richard Burton team up with a famous coffe barista named Jonson Johnson to try and solve the mystery and kick the world into 1986.
-
Map of the Enigmas, the series' final book, traces the fate of a man who is somehow cast into the body of a one-night stand, uncovering a web of intrigue that will take him across time in his quest to retrive his body. The trilogy is currently in production for release in 2026 and 2027.
Other novels include Choke, about the exploits of a transcendent private investigator in the gay demimonde of gay New York in the early 20th century, and The Nickel Saints, an apocalyptic novel wherein the apocalypse encounters a serious glitch
